Deere & Company — the makers of John Deere agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment — has been an American industrial icon since Vermont blacksmith John Deere invented the self-scouring steel plough in 1837. Headquartered in Moline, Illinois, Deere is the world's largest agricultural-machinery manufacturer, with green-and-yellow tractors, combines, and precision-agriculture systems used on farms across every continent. Its See & Spray precision spraying, AutoTrac autonomous steering, and Operations Center digital platform have made Deere a Silicon-Valley-grade software business alongside its industrial heritage.
