At the Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021), Bajrang Punia won the bronze medal in Freestyle Wrestling (65kg) — one of India's six medals at those Games. Bajrang is India's most decorated active wrestler — a World Championship medallist, Asian Games gold medallist, and Commonwealth Games gold medallist. His bronze in Tokyo came in a hard-fought match where he showcased his signature defensive wrestling style. He is the most consistent performer in Indian wrestling history.
