Verification Standards

This page explains what a verification mark on EaseOfBiz actually means, for anyone relying on the platform for research, journalism, or hiring decisions. We show exactly one of the tiers below on every credit — never an unqualified “verified” badge with no defined meaning behind it.
Self-reported
A credit or claim as entered by the account holder, not yet confirmed by anyone else. Shown as pending — never presented as confirmed.
Verified
Confirmed by both parties involved — the project owner and the person credited. This is the standard bar for a credit to display a verified mark.
Transaction-verified
Tied to a real, completed transaction on the platform (a paid booking or order between the two parties). The strongest tier, since it's backed by an actual payment record, not just mutual confirmation.
Enriched
Sourced from a public factual reference (such as a public knowledge base) rather than either party's own claim, and cited accordingly.
Corrections & grievances
If you believe information on the platform about you or your organization is inaccurate, you can flag it directly from the relevant page, or write to us. We aim to review flagged content promptly and will correct or remove inaccurate claims.
