About
GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management) University is a deemed-to-be university established in 1980, with its main campus located at Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Named after Mahatma Gandhi and established by the Andhra Pradesh region's industrialist-philanthropist Dr. M.V.V.S. Murthi, GITAM was granted deemed university status in 2007. It holds NAAC A++ accreditation and features in NIRF top 100 universities. GITAM has three campuses — Visakhapatnam (main), Hyderabad, and Bengaluru — with a combined student strength of 25,000+. The Visakhapatnam campus is set in a picturesque location at Rushikonda beach, near the Eastern Ghats and Bay of Bengal, making it one of India's most scenic campuses. GITAM offers programmes in Engineering, Science, Commerce, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Nursing across 50+ departments. The GITAM School of Business is among the top business schools in Andhra Pradesh. GITAM's research output includes over 1,500 publications annually and partnerships with international universities in the USA, UK, and Germany.
