Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) Madurai, established in 1957 by the Thiagarajar Charities Trust, is one of Tamil Nadu's oldest and most prestigious autonomous engineering colleges. Affiliated to Anna University and granted autonomous status, TCE holds NAAC A accreditation and is NBA accredited for multiple programmes. The college offers B.E./B.Tech in 15 engineering disciplines, M.E./M.Tech in 20 specialisations, MBA, and PhD. TCE's consistent NIRF rankings place it in the top 60–80 engineering colleges nationally. The 108-acre campus in Thiruparankundram, Madurai — at the base of the famous Murugan temple hill — is a serene and green environment for engineering education.
